Extreme Technologies Named BackupAssist Gold Partner -- Extends Reseller Partnership with MSP Agreement -- Extreme Technologies' Clients Now Have Direct Access to Premier Onsite and Cloud Windows Server, and Hyper-V Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) Solutions, with its Newly Launched MSP Program "BackupAssist as a Service"(BAaaS).

Extreme Technologies, Inc., today announced it has been named a BackupAssist Gold Reseller, and extended its reseller partnership with an MSP [managed service provider] agreement. Under terms of the agreement, Extreme Technologies will continue to directly offer its clients BackupAssist's premier onsite and cloud Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, as well as BackupAssist's newly launched MSP Program "BackupAssist as a Service" (BAaaS).

BackupAssist software delivers the features and functionality required for enterprise-class data protection (DP), with the modular deployment flexibility and pricing that is ideal for the small-to-medium business (SMB). From the SMB to small-to-medium-enterprises (SME), customers depend on BackupAssist for easy and predictable backup, swift and simple restore, and customized bare-metal recovery across heterogeneous environments, as well as remote-enabled, intuitive and secure end-to-end management. BackupAssist also uniquely features cloud independent backup, enabling the user to choose any combination of private and/or public cloud deployment, from any public cloud vendor -- feature-packed with data deduplication, encrypted containers and non-convergent encryption. And now, further enhancing the flexibility and affordability of the BackupAssist solution, customers can choose to evolve their backup/recovery investment from a capital expenditure (CAPEX) into an operating expense (OPEX) by leveraging BackupAssist as a Service (BAaaS).

"We first came across BackupAssist a couple years ago when I was working with an SMB client that required backup and recovery capabilities, but didn’t have the in-house expertise to manage it. They just needed to know that it was handled -- and, that the tools they would be responsible for managing moving forward would be easy and get the job done," said Joseph Gagne, Founder, Extreme Technologies. "I was immediately impressed by BackupAssist's true 'out-of-the-box' experience. I had tried other solutions including Acronis and NovaStor with other clients previously, but BackupAssist was by far the easiest to use -- with a very intuitive and robust GUI, and it was offered at a much better pricing model."

Gagne further explained, "With other solutions, I found they were complicated and didn't deliver the capabilities my clients required. For instance, when we tried to do dual backup drives for redundancy, it was a real hassle to say the least. We have standardized on BackupAssist as a reseller of its onsite/cloud solution, and are delighted to now serve as an MSP for BAaaS. Not to mention, we have standardized on it as our own internal DP solution as well."

Gagne continued, "Our clients love the solution, its pricing model is unbeatable, and as a strategic partner, BackupAssist always goes above and beyond. So for us, it was a no-brainer to extend and strengthen our partnership by joining its MSP program."

"Our goal has been to build strategic relationships with the most trusted and skilled solutions providers -- and we have certainly met that goal with Extreme Technologies," said Troy Vertigan, Vice President, Channel Sales and Marketing, BackupAssist. "Extreme Technologies' clients can now enjoy reliable, predictable backups, in a delivery model that best suits their IT, business and budgetary requirements. And should disaster strike, they can trust data and business operations will be quickly restored."
