update CRM Brings Life Sciences CRM to Apple iPad -- - Application provides full update.revolution CRM functionality on a new interface, giving pharmaceutical reps and other life sciences sales professionals an interactive, mobile and intuitive solution

Princeton, NJ, July 14, 2010 -- update CRM Relevant Products/Services Inc., the US subsidiary of update software AG and maker of innovative CRM solutions for the life sciences industry, have added support for the Apple iPad to the recently released update.revolution software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution.

The new version, called update.revolution touch, adds the product's mobile Relevant Products/Services iPhone functionality to the new iPad platform, providing an enhanced user interface and increased simplicity for data entry functions.

update.revolution touch has been specifically tailored to the iPad and provides users with a clean, intuitive visual language menu structure, much like the iPad itself. The application requires no new software to be installed, and operates directly through the Safari browser.

"We were among the first to launch a fully-functioning CRM solution on the iPhone in 2007, and with the launch of update.revolution touch on the iPad, we are one of the first purely Web-based CRM applications that fully exploits the groundbreaking operating concept of the iPad," said update software CEO Thomas Deutschmann. "In terms of usability and convenience, update.revolution and the iPad are a perfect match, and we expect the new application to allow for additional functionality in the future."

The Apple iPad has become a groundbreaking product worldwide and presents a huge opportunity for sales organizations in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Because it provides both mobility and interactivity in one package, pharmaceutical representatives can engage doctors on a level not seen before. The iPad provides a platform for representatives to supply interactive demonstrations and track the response and engagement of doctors. By leveraging update.revolution, sales organizations can integrate engagement data directly into the CRM system, aiding in faster and more informed sales decisions.

update.revolution touch also works seamlessly with update's iPhone application, making data and functionality mobile for every user through the iPhone, and providing a more efficient data entry interface through the iPad.

update.revolution is update CRM's award-winning cloud-based CRM solution for life sciences, launched in the U.S. earlier this year. A comprehensive CRM solution for life sciences organizations built on update software's 22 years of CRM expertise, update.revolution provides users with an advanced, web-based CRM platform, as well as a strategic business process that drives productivity for the life of the solution. The key to our Revolution is a business process designed to grow with each individual organization, without external investment, increasing productivity, encouraging adoption and keeping costs consistent.
