Transit Wireless Engages V-COMM for Next Phases of NYC Subway DAS Project

Cranbury, NJ, May 15, 2014 -- V-COMM, an industry-leading telecommunications engineering firm, has expanded its relationship with Transit Wireless to implement Phases Two and Three of the wireless network project in the New York City subway system.

V-COMM’s expanded relationship includes comprehensive Wi-Fi and wireless testing in all new stations, in Manhattan and the other boroughs. Upon completion on Phase Three, Transit Wireless will have a total of 114 subway stations on air in NYC.

“V-COMM and Transit Wireless have been working closely together for the past several years creating a high-quality network in the New York City subway systems,” said Dominic Villecco, president of V-COMM. “It is a much tougher environment than a typical DAS network, but our engineers are up to the task.”

“The V-COMM engineering team is a perfect complement to our own internal team,” said William Bayne, CEO of Transit Wireless. “We are happy to expand our relationship with such a competent team member.”

V-COMM is a leading provider of integrated network engineering, radio frequency engineering, and business services, with offices in Cranbury, New Jersey and Exton, PA. V-COMM delivers the needed expertise and cost-effective solutions to governmental agencies and wireless operators.
