Centrify Hailed as 'Strong Performer' in Report

Centrify Cited as a Strong Performer by Independent Research Firm in its Privileged Identity Management Report -- Centrify Receives Highest Scores Possible in Competitive Field for Customer Satisfaction and Active Directory Bridge Functionality; Earns Highest Score for Market Presence Out of All Strong Performers in the Evaluation

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 20, 2014 -- Centrify Corporation, the leader in Unified Identity Services across data center, cloud and mobile, today announced that it has been named as a Strong Performer in the Forrester Research, Inc., Feb. 3 report, “The Forrester Wave™: Privileged Identity Management, Q1 2014.” The report evaluated nine vendors based on 18 key criteria, including current offering, strategy and market presence.

Of the vendors’ current offerings evaluated, Centrify Server Suite was the only solution to earn the highest possible score for its Active Directory bridge functionality. Centrify also tied for the highest score for privileged session spawning, privileged session recording, and privilege escalation. “The (Centrify) solution extensively supports cloud applications, multitenancy for centralized policy management across its components, and agent-based and agentless deployment for session recording. Centrify has the largest number of paying, production customer organizations,” stated the report.1

In addition, Centrify earned the highest possible score for customer satisfaction. “Customers have found the product to be above expectations, citing excellent staff support and technical support,” stated the report. “Customers have been impressed with the level of care Centrify has committed to its product and the partner relationship it establishes.” 1

Centrify also received the top score for market presence out of all companies named as Strong Performers in the evaluation. The report is available for download from Centrify at: http://www.centrify.com/lp/forrester-wave-analyst-report/

“Leaders in the Privileged Identity Management (PIM) space now offer cloud support, threat mitigation to prevent data breaches, and privileged identity intelligence,” the report continued. “The PIM market is growing because more Security and Risk (S&R) professionals see PIM as a relatively simple but effective way to address their top security, compliance, and efficiency challenges. Also, S&R pros increasingly trust PIM providers to act as strategic partners, advising them on top password safe decisions and offering layered controls.”1

Centrify’s Server Suite will be demonstrated next week in its Booth No. 2015 at the 2014 RSA Conference being held in San Francisco at the Moscone Center.

Centrify Server Suite secures the industry’s broadest range of mission-critical servers from identity-related insider risks and outsider attacks. More than 5,000 enterprise customers, including 46 percent of the Fortune 50, have selected Centrify as their single, integrated solution for identity consolidation, privileged access management, and activity auditing in order to make security and regulatory compliance repeatable and sustainable. Centrify’s unified identity services uniquely enable these organizations to reduce costs and increase agility and productivity, compared to deploying a patchwork of single-purpose, platform-specific products.

“In today’s IT security environment, malicious insiders and outsiders are ultimately after the ‘keys to the kingdom,’ because access to privileged accounts gives hackers everything they need to siphon off sensitive data from critical servers,” said Matt Hur, Centrify Senior Director of product management. “Centrify uniquely provides an approach to privileged identity management that leverages existing investments in infrastructure and skillsets, and does not affect user productivity by changing the way they access servers and applications. This approach combined with our comprehensive privileged access management solution enables our customers to effectively manage identity-related risk while adapting as their business demands.”
